Should I use a third-party Revit plugin?

Hello there. I trust you are well.

Recently, I was preparing some schedules (from one of my projects) that I’ll be using for my Power BI data visualisations. It so happened that the first part of it was done without the use of a third-party plugin (because it was not installed yet on my machine). I was talking about the Ideate Revit plugin that our company has a license to use. I would like to try the one DiRoots Revit Plugin but I need to ask for our IT’s permission to have that software installed. I ended up waiting for the Ideate one to get installed.

The next day, I did a quick video comparison of the same project; one without the plugin way and the other with the use of a third-party plugin. Any third-party plugins are developed for the purpose of making your life easier and save you some time in doing repetitive jobs.

Have a great day. Cheers.
